Salehe Bembury x New Balance
New Balance is on an absolute tear when it comes to sneaker collaborations this year. The newest mash up of collaborated minds comes from guru designer Salehe Bembury. The New York naitive has been in part defined by his pursuit for inner peace and self mastery. In today’s article, we are going to dive into his upcoming collaboration with New Balance and give our thoughts on what we think about the footwear design.
The sneaker model that Bembury and New Balanced worked on for this drop is the New Balance 2002R. This sporty silhouette is reminiscent of New Balance’s 900 series models. The upper is blended with mesh paneling, which is consistent with other New Balance models. The swede in the toe box seems to be extremely hairy and buttery to the touch. In our opinion, the colorway of the sneaker is very fall-themed; the orange coloring along with the brownish outsole is perfect for the fall.
Overall, we are extremely excited about the sneaker because of its uniqueness and creativity. We give the sneaker a rating of 9 out of 10. It plans to release October 23rd for $150 USD, alongside other items in the collaboration.
